Due to exceptional circumstances during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Home Affairs and Australian Border Force have relaxed restrictions around working hours for student visa holders in hospitality.
Effective immediately overseas workers have been granted the same working rights as Australians allowing them to work for more than 40 hours a fortnight if employed in the tourism & hospitality sectors.
